Visit to Prague, Travel guide

I wanted to know the Czech Republic because since childhood I have seen pictures in my house which look like very interesting , and finally after many other destinations known I had the opportunity to visit Prague.

First remark that the flight was 2 hours and 15 minutes and that the airline is Czech Airlines, is a company associated with Iberia.

To say that the issue of compliance schedules was everything perfectly, the Czechs are famous in that sense of achievers and exquisite punctuality.

Prague Airport is an airport right and as with decks also divided into several terminals. International flights arrive at Terminal 2 and thence, after passing all the controls on the output we have the option of going to the city center by taxi fares are about 25 €  or bus for 30 crowns, 1,5 euros approx  in the 119 bus that takes you to the start line Dejvicka Metro.

The journey time is about 25 minutes.

Dejvicka is the beginning of the stop line A (green) and from there you can direct you to the various hotels and downtown in just 4 stops.

The center stops are Muzeum, Mustek and Republic Square.

The change at the airport at 22.36 kroner per euro was a scam but there was no other because when you pay with euros ran the risk that we make a change abusive. The city then find changes to 24.90 kroner per euro.

If anyone is interested in the hired hotel through booking page that is called Vitkov Konevova 114 street, Prague zone 3, ohara tram stop ( 9). The hotel is quite correct and the price for 2 nights has been 48 € with breakfast included.

The tram to the center is the number 9 and takes approximately 15 minutes and you can buy tickets in places called trafikas, almost always located near each stop.

    Is curious, but no one at first glance you controls you pay in public transport but if you ever have the misfortune of not paying and I think a reviewer appears that fines are cracking so better to pay the ticket change are € 0.80 (18 crowns) per 30-minute.

What I liked about Prague are around the old town square . Plenty of Czech food like ham or roast hot dogs and sausages similar to Spanish sausages, very good indeed and you can eat Laughing prices by € 4 with a typical dessert made with circular Prague potato but sweet and cinnamon.

In this square is the clock tower every hour ancient statues move and many people congregate to watch the show.

It strikes me that what Prague is the clothing and shoes are priced about the same as the Spanish, like gasoline and instead the subject of restaurants is tremendously much cheaper than Spain and more when compared with cities as Madrid.

An expensive restaurant in Prague 20 € can be considered covered.

The Charles Bridge was under construction on the left side so it lost some charm, but it was full of artists and musicians playing painting that made the tour had a great atmosphere.

Prague Synagogues sell a complete package to visit five different and the price is 300 SEK (12 €) and 200 if you get the person to make that even entry are student (I unfortunately did not get it)

The most interesting is the Pinkas synagogue is called a monument to the memory of the Jews of Bohemia and Moravia Holocaust victims. Inside is a cemetery that attracts attention by overcrowding of graves without any apparent control or order for us to see and understand a little insanity that must have been the Nazi Holocaust.

The Spanish synagogue next to the monument to Kafka, bringing together the Sephardic community of Prague and its vaulted interior is beautiful.

The Maisel Synagogue houses the exhibition more interesting from the standpoint of art, silverware Jewish manuscripts and mantles.

About 100 km from Prague is the city of Karlovy Vary, famous for its healing waters and spas.

The length of bus is 2 hours and 25 minutes and the bus station to go is in the subway stop Florenc.You have to go out and is in the rear bus station. There you can buy tickets for trips to the various places of the Czech Republic.

I recommend buying tickets in advance because I run out of tickets to go and Cesky Krumplov for trying to buy the same day.

The travel agency is offering these Studen Agencie is not only for students and in a moment you can think of one. The price return to Karlovy Vary is 280 crowns about 12 €.

Karlovy is also famous for its film festival and the hotel pupp is where they filmed part of the movie James Bond Casino Royal.

Throughout the town there are a number of hot springs to different degrees, there are from 32 degrees up to 72 degrees some costing drink them, some have healing properties for the stomach, gallbladder, etc ..... different stalls selling cups very curious with straw incorporated and all ceramic.

As you can assume most of the customers who walk through its streets and fountains are seniors with some of the evils that these healing waters.

They are also famous Karlovy Vary wafers, come in all flavors .... chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla etc ... very rich indeed.

Overall the food similar to Prague in terms of prices.Dishes very complete and in quantity and has been eating for about 8 €.

Little more to tell about this city, it is curious and I recommend it to you.

Back to Prague to visit the castle touches is a city within the city of Prague and guards the entrance we find vintage dresses and parading from time to time throughout the grounds.

The castle was built in the ninth century and is now the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic. Inside are various museums all charges. Inside we find the St. Vitus Cathedral one of the great Gothic churches of Europe.

As I turned curious note is that the time clock that has two fields one to mark the hours and another to mark the minutes.

Everything inside the castle is for tourism and dining here is more expensive than in the rest of Prague, about 15 € per person and was surprised that the drink most expensive was water. Give you an idea in the restaurant I ate the half liter bottle worth € 6, amazing right?

From the castle to be raised are taken very nice photos of Prague, so worth it.

Back in the city I get to see the modern and most extravagant of all Prague, the house Ginger and Fred, very unique and is nestled on the banks of the Vltava River.

I think it is worth seeing because then you can walk along the river bank to the national theater and from there you get to downtown quickly.

These last two days I change hotel and one that is further away from the city, do not recommend it because despite being a complex macro and even bowling, Spa, the facilities are very neglected and the rooms are very poor and most to be a 4 star in Spain would be neither a 3.

These shipments by metro, bus and tram stopped me three different reviewers thing I had passed all the other days so it is highly recommended to always travel with the tickets! As you look a bit like a tourist stop you, or for your sake I would pay all, at least the metro which is where I have always stood.

I try to go to Cesky Krumlov but all are buses to complete so today is to see a monument that has been withheld me.

Again walk through the old town square and now with much more atmosphere even by the arrival of more tourists for Easter.

Looks like we're in Spain, there are many Spanish everywhere. To eat but not much to recommend tourist is going to U Fleku which is the oldest tavern in Prague in 1500 and it has a capacity for 2500 people seated and is huge, people drink along a table and stacked so that no privacy here.

I'm not a beer lover admit it was really good dark beer.

The waiters constantly come out with trays of beer pint serving the van you if they see you're running and without your asking.

Food nothing special and expensive price for Prague.Solo recommend to drink you know and a few beers while playing the accordion as the atmosphere is very peculiar. U Fleku is Kremencova Street.

After an afternoon of shopping and strolling supper in the klub Architektu this within the precincts of a church (Betlemske Kaple) and that the input can confuse some it is an art gallery, but the background is a staircase leading down to the that is the restaurant.

From my point of view a very elaborate and good food, highlighting the potato soup, chicken breast with plum sauce and beef with cream sauce and apple.

For those who do not know much English entire letter is in Spanish. Starter, main and dessert with a side and drink for 13 e and eating of menu card. The Restaurant is in Betlemske namesti Street 169, near from the old square, highly recommended restaurant.

The last day is the typical buy souvenirs and take the final ride, today is the day the most atmosphere had centro. Full of art and food stands and bands through the streets.

For lunch I went to a new Pizzeria which is on the same street as the restaurant Architektu, Betlemske namesti n10 and was called U Plebana, very cheap and start giving a taste of ice shot bus choice casting liquid into a glass and began to rise much smoke and eventually solidified to be frozen. Price per person for a plate of pasta or pizza and a drink 7 euros.

To go to the airport without paying cab like to get, go underground to Dejvicka (line A last stop) and there catch the 119 bus that drops you off at the international terminal is the terminal 2.
